New guy
Hello everyone, I’ve been in the Hvac industry for the past 8 years and have wanted to get into the controls side of the industry for awhile. I’ve been putting Prolon in where I can, and working on teaching myself with Sedona. Employer has recently green lit Honeywell trainings and a webs license for a couple locations we service that don’t have a controls contractor anymore. I feel comfortable navigating those systems through the jaces. I have a location with spyders and no jace. For the life of me I cannot get the router setup to be able to pull these in and download/see/program them. It’s a cc basrtp router. Anyone have any help/suggestions please?
Re: New guy
There is really no good way to pull a program out of a "classic" spyder controller if that's what your asking. You don't say which controllers your working with, and HW has a wad of devices out there.
If its lon/bacnet spyder, you can pull a program. Its going to plop every block in the program on top of itself on a wiresheet. With enough time you could maybe sort it into something you could understand. In the same time, you could likely reprogram it. Best case with these, the installing contractor loaded something from the spyder library. Then you at least have a starting point to learn things in.
What are you working with exactly?

I’ve got a pvb6438ns-ilc that I’ve been trying to hook to currently. Mostly worried if I ever need to replace these controllers how I’d hook to them to pull program off and load onto the new one. Even if it was a jumble but I could load it on and get it running quickly I could separate the wire sheets later.
Re: New guy
Been a while, but I believe you can just discover the controller in the BCP bacnet driver. Then one of the actions is learn logic?
You should be able to dump what you learned back in a new controller.

Actions on BacnetSpyder explained
Spyder Upload
Perform this action to upload application in the controller to the ControlProgram. If the application in the online controller matches with application in Control Program, invoking this Action does only a quick upload. In the case of quick upload, tool only uploads Network Setpoint values, Schedule, Wall Module, Day Light Savings configurations. If the Control Program application is different than that in the device, tool perform a full upload.
