Condenstate trap?

Post by orion242 »

A fairly recent classic.

One of our techs was doing startup and the heat isn't coming on. Typical conditions these days. We want 12 month project done in 6. Everyone is screaming for us to fire up the controls, so surely the equipment has had factory startup.

OK, I think that's the most flat out holy crap moment I've witnessed in HVAC.

We where very lucky that this tech was a guy with a fair deal of experience.

Had it been one of our fresh hires, not sure things would have had the same result. Could have got some national news coverage real quick.

But you can take a week or two of online training and be good to go for controls startup according to some. Yep sure, what's our insurance coverage/cost again? This turd could have leveled an active shopping center.
